Make it Better

Check it out. New track I'm working on, titled "Make it Better." It's part of an album that I'm writing, for now the album's not named. It's some minor funk at 100bpm with some talk box action, I think it's cool.
Every section in this cut is performed by me on the Nord Wave, including talk box. In my more current copy I'm playing bass on it and it's a bit faster.

Yay, Delay

I chain a Simple Delay onto my bass synth to add some texture. After this I automated it to be every other bar instead, with a nice glitched out talkbox vocal on top. Listen to the above post "Make it Better" to see what I'm talking about

Chaining with Delay. Also, Nord Wave.

Using two chains, one clean and one effected, I add some more sound to the track. I ended up automating the activator of the effected chain using envelopes so it sounds only every other time, sounds pretty good. Maybe this will be a hip hop track or something

Ableton Chaining + Widening

Chaining. Like, the best way you can make anything sound better. But srsly for dividing frequencies and effecting differently makes a world of difference, try it out. I'm using it to help even out the mix a little by putting things in a difference space for a couple tracks.
This track is Realboy- Time for Me ft. Tommy T.

P.S. Spreader: Drag out a single "Simple Delay" onto a track. Click the header to highlight, and press command+g to group it. Click the three horizontal lines on the left of this group, so you see the chaining area. Right click under the current chain, and select "create new chain." Leave nothing in it, pan one of your chains hard left and the other hard right. Take the simple delay on the one of them and turn wetness to 100%, linked, time mode (not sync), and somewhere between 2-20ms of delay with zero feedback.

French House/Hip Hop Sampling Style

In this here tutorial i'm showing you how to easily get that french house style of cutting and sampling with Ableton's "Sampler" instrument. I then attempt to use this sample and make the beginnings of a track so you can see how I would use this technique IRL

Easy Midi Chord Progression

The first tutorial I made, it's for those of you who might just be starting out and need help with the whole music theory thing. One thing I forgot to say is if you want inversions for your chords, the shift+up or shift+down on the numpad will move any highlighted notes up or down an octave. So once you have your chords recorded out into a separate midi channel, it's easy to click "Fold" or just move everything around by octaves etc. Good start to get to know how things work.
